Quotations are preferred to be based on unit price per square meter (in gross rectangular sections) and for stair tread it shall be based on unit price per unit. Full description on grating specs provides complete necessary attachment (kicks plate, cutout locations, finishing, and also fastening device).
Items that are not included in the unit price quotations, and which shall be considered as extras, are as follows: cutting, banding, toe plates, support plates or angles, hinges, locking device, forming, undercutting or notching, special drilling, punching or tapping, fastening, bolts for stair treads, degreasing of sandblast, special bundling or strapping other than steel strapping, site measurement, installation and any others materials not specified in the Standard Specifications for Metal bar Gratings and Treads (including special welding if galvanized in accord with ASTM 123)
Drawings And Specifications

Should cutouts for vertical bracing or moment connections be desired for shop fabrication, the structural steel detail drawings shall be provided prior to the preparation of the grating shop drawings.
The customer’s construction plans and specifications shall be assumed by Khansforge to be correct in all details if any written notice to the contrary is not furnished. Upon request, Khansforge shall submit to the customer three (3) hard copies or one (1) soft copy of detailed drawings in outline form for the latter’s view. Final calculated grating quantities supplied from drawings shall be on the basis of gross area measured center-to-center of supports, or back to back of supporting angles or channels, or overall dimensions of grating, whichever is larger, with no deduction for clearances. Measurement of cuts shall be on the basis of a minimum of 0.3meter per cut panel. Any cut in excess of one 0.3meter per cut panel shall be measured to the next higher lineal meter.
